Thisland.is is a trading name of Ítak ehf. and a registered trademark of Ítak ehf. Our registered headquarters are at Dyngjugata 3, IS210 Gardabaer, Iceland. (Registration no. 541174-0369).

Ítak ehf. is registered in Iceland with the VAT number 20888 and licensed by Icelandic Tourism Board registration license number 2023-017.
Ítak ehf. official website is: www.thisland.is. Ítak ehf. operates under Iceland law.

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time and apply to all our services. By accessing, browsing, using and/or completing a reservation through our website (mobile and desktop) you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below.

Payment Terms

Payments: We accepts payment by Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
For bookings made at least 30 days before the travel date, we also accept bank transfers.
If you wish to pay via bank transfer, please select “Bank Transfer” as your payment method in the booking process and we will contact you with payment instructions.

Payment processing: Once payment has been received, we will email you a payment confirmation. You will receive a link to your Secure Payment Site after booking. Any remaining payments should be processed via your Secure Payment Site.

Delayed payments: Ítak ehf. reserves the right to treat cases of delayed payment as a cancellation of the booking, and the company can withdraw its confirmation of services. Please note that this only applies if payment has not been made at least 14 days before your arrival, and no agreement has been made for paying the remaining balance.

Cancellation Terms & Charges

All cancellations must be made in writing and should be sent to info@thisland.is.
If it is not possible for you to send us your cancellation via email, please contact us by phone (+354 662-7100). Please note that other cancellation policies may apply if you have made your reservation through a third party.

*The cancellation charge is a percentage of the total booking price

Changes to bookings

All booking change requests must be made via email by the person who submitted the original booking request. We will do our best to make the changes, but it may not always be possible. All changes are subject to availability.

Administration fee policies: Depending on how far in advance a tour package has been booked and when changes to a booking are requested, an administrative fee of 50,000 ISK may be charged to the credit card used for the original payment.
Additional supplier costs may still apply depending on the changes requested

Liability

While Ítak ehf. strives to provide accurate information, the website may contain inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date information. Ítak ehf. takes no responsibility for errors or omissions in the content of the website and makes no commitment to update such information. Ítak ehf. shall not be liable for any damages relating to the use of, or reliance upon, the website or such information, features, material, or services.

Ítak ehf. is not responsible for expenses and/or other related costs due to factors outside of its control such as delay or changes of flights, injury, damages, negligence, weather, war, or other unforeseeable causes (force majeure), economic effects, natural disasters, pandemics, and other public health concerns etc. and/or other unforeseeable matters.

Punctuality is a key objective to Ítak ehf. However, delays may occur for unforeseen reasons. The company cannot be made responsible for losses that a passenger may face due to delay, regardless of whether or the loss is direct or indirect. Ítak ehf. reserves the right to alter itineraries and/or timetables should it be necessary, due to adverse weather and or other related conditions (including force majeure).
We will always work through these changes with you to come up with a suitable solution.
